Assata represents development companies, general contractors, and construction managers in personal injury and property damage claims. She also defends product manufacturers in defect and mass tort suits nationwide.
Assata has extensive appellate court experience, having clerked for Justice P. Scott Neville, Jr. of the Illinois Appellate Court, First District from 2005 to 2007.
Assata has published numerous articles, among them, "In Pursuit of Civility," ABA The Young Lawyer, Vol. 10, No. 8 (June 2006) and "Assessing a Case for Appeal," ABA The Young Lawer, Vol. 10, No. 1 (October 2005). She is also a frequent speaker at ABA Young Lawyers Division conferences around the country.
